The position
As an Electrical Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Key Responsibilities
Puls (Power Infrastructure Upgrade) projects are large-scale energy infrastructure developments commissioned by Dutch grid operators. These projects support the growing demand on the electricity grid due to sustainable technologies like electric vehicles, solar energy, and advanced digital infrastructure.
You are responsible for guiding projects from the initial design (VO) through to execution-ready plans (UO). You will:
- Lead and mentor engineers and modelers across all design phases (VO, DO, TO, UO)
- Translate DO plans into practical, execution-ready technical drawings
- Ensure designs meet the latest technical standards and grid operator specifications (e.g., Enexis)
- Perform and validate key calculations, including:
- Short-circuit resistance
- Selectivity analysis
- Cable dimensioning and layout
- Conduct technical reviews and coordinate closely with suppliers, contractors, and client stakeholders, including high-security environments like Schiphol Airport
- Act as the technical liaison with experts from both the public and private sectors.
What you bring to the position
- 6+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly in medium-voltage and grid-related infrastructure
- A strong foundation in electrical design, calculations, and grid integration
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, cable calculation tools, and engineering management systems
- Proven leadership skills—especially in guiding technical teams and junior engineers
- Project management experience, including budget handling and technical documentation
- A proactive mindset and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal teams, suppliers, and client-side experts
- Fluency in Dutch (mandatory)
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Den Bosch
