As a Python Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will join our innovative Sponsored Product Team within the AdTech department. , a
In this role, you will contribute to the development of new features, enhancement of our recommendation algorithm, and oversee the DevOps lifecycle of the data science services powering the solution. You will work in a professional, close-knit team consisting of a Python Data Scientist, two Backend Developers, and a QA Engineer.
- Design and implement new features for our Sponsored Product platform.
- Maintain and improve our recommender system to optimize relevance and user experience.
- Manage and monitor the DevOps lifecycle of the data science services, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Conduct data analyses and generate actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through comprehensive testing and adherence to the test pyramid.
- Collaborate closely with the QA Engineer to uphold quality standards for all deliverables.
- Provide continuous support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance observability across systems.
- Foster a culture of proactivity and continuous improvement within the team.
What you bring to the position
- Proven experience in Python development, especially in the context of data science.
- A solid background in DevOps practices and tools.
- Interest in recommendation and relevance algorithms (hands-on experience is a plus).
- Experience or affinity with the retail industry is appreciated.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- A holistic approach to product development, with attention to code quality, system reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency in test automation strategies, including unit and integration testing.
